Shakers & Movers: What It Means for Revenue Cycle Teams
Each month, RCR|HUB tracks leadership changes across the nation in Revenue Cycle—ranging from Patient Access Directors and VPs of Revenue Cycle to CEOs and other key executives. Our Shakers & Movers list has become one of the most-read features on The HUB, not just because of the numbers, but because these changes often signal deeper transformation inside hospitals, health systems, and specialty organizations.
What the Numbers Show Us
Since launching the Shakers & Movers list more than two years ago, RCR|HUB has tracked Provider leadership changes across the United States.
In our earliest months, we consistently tracked around 120 leadership moves per month. Recently, that average has decreased to nearly 80 per month—a decline of more than 30%. In July 2025, we are reporting 37 job changes.
This drop doesn’t mean fewer changes are happening within Provider organizations. Based on our research and engagement with the CommUnity, we believe this shift reflects:
Fewer Revenue Cycle leaders are publicly announcing new roles
A rise in internal promotions that go unposted
Role consolidation at the health system level
Generational differences in online visibility and engagement
That’s why we combine manual research, AI tools, and direct CommUnity submissions to create each month’s list. We’re committed to capturing leadership changes in the Provider space, even when they’re not easy to find.
Leadership transitions are happening across the U.S.—and we’re here to help the CommUnity stay informed.
Are Fewer RCM Leaders Posting?
A growing trend has caught our attention: newer leaders, especially those earlier in their careers, are less likely to post job changes publicly on LinkedIn. Whether it’s generational (Gen Z and younger Millennials tend to post less), organizational culture, or personal preference, we’re seeing that:
RCM professionals are more likely to post when they’re seeking a new opportunity or celebrating a recent move.
Those who don’t post may never appear in automated tools or leadership trackers—no matter how significant the role. That’s why our approach blends public LinkedIn updates with manual research, CommUnity engagement, and internal tracking.
If you or a colleague made a move recently and it’s not reflected, we encourage you to submit your update here.
What’s Included in the Shakers & Movers List?
Each month, we publish:
Full name
New title
Organization
LinkedIn profile link (if available)
This information is all publicly accessible—we do not request permission or collect private data. Our goal is to spotlight growth in the CommUnity and give credit where it’s due.
Why It Matters to Business Partners
For business partners (vendors), these leadership moves can be indicators of:
Strategic realignment
Upcoming RFPs
New opportunities for technology or services
When a new VP or Director joins a health system, it may lead to vendor evaluations, contract reviews, or performance initiatives. Staying informed means staying ready.
Back to School, Back to Strategy
This season is about more than just school supplies (but don’t get us wrong, we love buying them, especially those cute lunch boxes and backpacks), and routine resets. It’s also when many of our healthcare providers’ Revenue Cycle teams close out fiscal projects, refine Q4 goals, and prepare for the year ahead. If you were offline this summer, don’t worry — we’ve gathered the highlights for you. To celebrate the season, July’s issue of Shakers and Movers is free for our RCM CommUnity.

This language does not lessen the value of our Business Partners or their role in advancing the goals of Revenue Cycle Providers.
