Kindness
A few years ago, before COVID, you would hear of stories where people were in line at a drive thru fast food place, they pull up to the window and find out that the person in front of them that had just pulled away, had paid for their food, and this act of kindness was repeated multiple times as people would pass that kindness along by paying for the food for the car behind it.
Kindness is first a choice, in every action we take, we can be kind, mean, or be non-impactful. Kindness is similar to love as they both come from the heart and they don’t require equal emotion in return, but kindness is uniquely different than love as kindness can be shared with a total stranger and someone that you may never see again.
I would challenge you to choose kindness in your life. Whether it is at home, at work, at the gym or the grocery store, you never know if your kindness, your smile, your “have a great day” comment maybe touching that one person that may not get kindness from anyone else. Your kindness may be touching someone that is going through a very tough period in their life and may breakdown and cry if someone simply would give them a hug. Be the difference in someone’s life. Choose kindness today.
