Shakers & Movers: The People Behind Our Revenue Cycle CommUnity
The People Behind Our Revenue Cycle CommUnity
Founder | CEO Jena Eggert September 18, 2026
Three years of following career moves. A growing research effort. And thousands of people worth celebrating.
When we launched RCR|HUB in 2023, we wanted to make it easier for people across the Revenue Cycle CommUnity to find one another, share expertise, and stay connected. Shakers & Movers grew out of that same idea: when someone takes on a new role, it’s news worth sharing and celebrating. For the business-minded, new leadership can signal new job opportunities, including new teams and new technology.
What began as a way to recognize career moves has become one of The HUB’s most-read features. We’ve kept at it through three years of research, changing processes, and countless announcements because the people doing this work deserve to be seen.
We’re investing more.
At the end of August, our team added dedicated research resources to help us identify and review career moves across healthcare. Our expanded process combines automated discovery with manual review. Technology helps us uncover more announcements, while people verify the details and decide what belongs in the feature. Our list of September’s Shakers and Movers clearly shows that the team and our technology are working! Our approach has evolved over time. Different contributors, tools, and levels of manual effort have shaped our research since 2023. The historical counts reflect the announcements we captured, but they don't precisely measure all career movement across the industry.
Who We Follow and Why
Shakers & Movers focuses on career moves involving healthcare leadership, management, and professionals whose roles directly influence the Revenue Cycle. Our research includes executives and finance leaders, Revenue Cycle directors and managers, patient access and patient financial services leaders, and professionals responsible for revenue integrity, coding, billing, reimbursement, analytics and related operations.
We look for new appointments, promotions and moves between organizations across these areas. Our team uses a combination of automated research, publicly available announcements and manual review to identify and check the information we publish.
This is a defined research focus, not a selection based on who we know or which organizations work with The HUB. We do not systematically track every career move, including individual moves among coders, billers, and other support professionals. Their contributions are essential to the Revenue Cycle CommUnity, but they currently fall outside our scope.
Since April 2023, Shakers & Movers has recorded 2,360 career moves through September 16th, 2026. The graph below shows the average number of moves we recorded each month, grouped by quarter. It reflects what our research captured, not every career move that occurred across healthcare.
Our research methods and coverage have evolved since 2023, and September’s expanded process is still underway. For that reason, the graph records our work overtime rather than directly comparing hiring activity from one quarter to another.
RCR|HUB’s Shakers & Movers highlights Revenue Cycle leadership and career moves across healthcare. This quarterly graph illustrates the average monthly career moves recorded from April 2023 through September 2026, recognizing the professionals shaping our Revenue Cycle CommUnity.
Shakers & Movers-Quarterly Average
Average monthly leadership, management, and related Revenue Cycle career moves recorded by RCR|HUB
But Shakers & Movers has never been just about counting moves.
It’s about recognizing the people behind them: the patient access leader taking on a bigger challenge, the Revenue Cycle professional joining a new organization, and the executive helping shape what comes next for a healthcare team.
And while our research focuses on leadership, management and related roles, we know these professionals depend on the expertise and dedication of the entire Revenue Cycle team. Every role contributes to the work that keeps healthcare moving.
September’s Shakers & Movers: The People Behind the Progress
Every new role represents a person stepping into an opportunity, taking on a challenge, or bringing their experience to another healthcare team. That’s why we’ve continued sharing Shakers & Movers since 2023.
This September, we’re expanding the research behind the feature to find and recognize more career moves across the Revenue Cycle CommUnity.
The names below are the first group from our September research, with more to come. As we broadened our search, we also uncovered earlier announcements worth recognizing.
